Paula Kimper composer of Patience and Sarah, talked to us about one of the first coming out operas. First produced as part of the Lincoln Center Festival in 1998, it is based on the landmark novel by Isabel Miller which tells a story, based on fact, of a relationship between women set in 19th century New England.
